Rosario Dawson

Rosario Dawson is an award-winning actress, producer, and activist. She has garnered praise not only for her numerous leading roles in films such as Sin City, Rent, and Seven Pounds, but also for her work with a range of influential organizations. In 2012, Dawson was named to Fast Company's list of "The 100 Most Creative People in Business 2012," an annual celebration of business innovators who dare to think differently.

In 2004, Dawson co-founded a non-partisan political organization called Voto Latino. Their outreach has targeted youth and helped register over 220,000 voters. Dawson was recently the recipient of a Latino Spirit Award, given to her by Governor Jerry Brown for her contributions to the Latino community and her leadership with Voto Latino.

Dawson is an active board member of V-Day, an organization founded by Eve Ensler, where she travels worldwide to stop violence against women. Dawson also proudly serves as a board member of Operation USA, an international relief agency that helps communities at home and abroad overcome the effects of disasters, disease and endemic poverty.

Dawson also lends her time and efforts by serving on the board of the Lower Eastside Girls Club in Manhattan and is an ardent environmentalist doing work with a variety of organizations including the Environmental Media Association and Global Green.

Dawson made her film debut in Kids and has since been seen in Men In Black II, The 25th Hour, Sin City, Rent, Eagle Eye, Seven Pounds, Unstoppable, Zookeeper, Trance, and many more.
